Highest Teaching Standards in The World
We are governed by the British Hangliding and Paragliding Association. The courses we offer give you an internationally recognised qualification.
All of our instructors and experienced pilots with backgrounds in military flight safety, training, human factors and performance coaching.
We are regularly inspected by the BHPA Executive and operate within the framework of their stringent Technical Manual.
We aim to train you as safely as possible, while making sure that you’ve got a smile on your face.
Our instructors are very experienced paraglider and speed wing pilots as well as experienced instructors. Alistair was the youngest person to complete a 200km flight in the UK and still one of only 11 British pilots to have made three flights in excess of this distance. We have taught all over the world; including teaching the Gurkhas in Nepal, guiding groups over 5000m passes in the Indian Himalayas and racing in some of the highest level Hike and Fly races in the world. As such, we won’t just teach you to Club Pilot level. We will be by your side as long as you’d like, and hope that you’ll eventually join us on some of these adventures.
We don’t claim to be the cheapest, but we would like to be the best. We strive for the highest standards in training and operate at low student to instructor ratios, so that we can help you leave the school as independent and autonomous pilots. We do most of our training in Wales because we believe it’s the best way to prepare to be a pilot who is going to fly in British conditions. We charge for training by the day because it holds us to account, and allows you to know that you’ll only leave the school when you’re safe to do so.
Our training paragliders are all made within the EU by a French company called Supair, for whom we are the UK’s main agent. Given our knowledge of rigging and glider testing, these wings are all of the latest generation and kept in the best state of trim by the team.
