Cancellation of your order and Refunds
If you have bought a voucher, training day, or tandem flight from us via telephone, post or through our website, you will have fourteen working days in which to request a refund. This must be in writing or by e-mail; we do not accept cancellations by phone. After the fourteen days has elapsed no refund is due. On notification of your wish to cancel and the return, at your cost of any vouchers or course confirmation paperwork, we will issue a full refund of the purchase price, to the person who made the payment, within 30 days. However, if you have booked a date for your first flight, or indeed taken your day, within fourteen days of purchase, then no refund is possible.
We always confirm whether or not your training is going ahead the evening before at around 1900 via our WhatsApp group, based on your availability, instructor availability and the weather forecast. If you withdraw from training after this time, then no refund is possible.
Vouchers, tandem flights, one day “Day Tasters” and training days are non-refundable after the 14 day period mentioned above.
(Also see info under ‘Health and Medical’)
Delivery
Delivery of vouchers, by Royal Mail standard delivery, will be included in the price. Any other delivery methods requested will be charged to the customer.
Vouchers and courses
All Crickhowell Paragliding vouchers, tandem flights and one day introductions are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. (Also see info under ‘Time extensions.’) All vouchers, tandem flights, and training days must be paid in full before you fly. It is recommended that you book your day’s flying with us as soon as possible after purchase. Bank holidays count as weekend days. Due to the weather dependent nature of paragliding, it is not unusual to have your day postponed, sometimes more than once! It is the responsibility of the participant to ensure that the activity is taken before the expiry of the voucher. A voucher can be transferred to another person, provided you let us know their details, the voucher number and date of purchase. The validity of the voucher and all our relevant terms and conditions will apply to the third party.
The starting time of a day’s flying may vary according to the anticipated weather conditions. You will be made aware of the exact time. We cannot accommodate late arrivals and you will forfeit your day (see info under ‘Postponement). Please be prepared to start early or finish late. We can teach anytime during the hours of daylight. A flying ‘day’ may vary in length, but we attempt to maximise every moment on the hill and we reserve the right to end the training day if when we believe your fatigue level is impacting on your training
Time extensions
Provided you have booked a day’s flying tuition with us on at least 5 occasions before the last month of validity of your voucher/tandem flight/”Day Taster” introduction, and each time it has been has been cancelled by us, we will extend the expiry date for 3 months, free of charge. After this extended period of validity, one further extension can be bought for 3 months for £30.
If you have NOT booked a day’s flying tuition on at least 5 occasions before the last month of your voucher’s validity, it can be extended for a further 3 months from the date of expiry, on payment of £30 BEFORE the voucher expires. You may revalidate twice only. You cannot extend the life of a voucher once it is already out of date. Remember, if you really can’t see yourself using your day’s voucher within its validity, you can transfer it to someone else for the remainder of the period. (See info under ‘Vouchers and courses’.)
Postponement
If you wish to change the date of your booking you must give us at least 48 hours’ notice by telephone or email. Failure to notify us within 48 hours of your arranged date, or simply not turning up, will mean that you forfeit your day’s flying. There will be no refund or alternative offered.

Cancellation by Crickhowell Paragliding
Paragliding is a weather dependent sport and unfortunately, we have no control over the weather. If we consider it an unsuitable day to fly, we will cancel the day’s teaching. Sometimes this happens at very short notice. If the weather conditions during the session become unsafe to fly, your flying may be shortened or postponed. We will not be held responsible for any travel or accommodation costs, nor any expenses incurred if we have had reasonable grounds to postpone or cancel the flying.
Insurance
We are a British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association (BHPA) registered school. As such, we have limited professional liability insurance. All our flying customers are issued with temporary membership of the BHPA. This gives them third party insurance. If you require personal accident insurance (to include paragliding) please arrange this in advance or with us on the day of your booking.
