The Team
Meet Your Instructors
Every instructor brings serious military aviation credentials and a passion
for getting people into the air safely.

Alistair Andrews
Chief Flying InstructorAlistair took up paragliding at 18, building on a background as an air cadet with solo glider and Cessna flights already logged. What started as self-taught flying became a BHPA Club Pilot rating — and a lifelong obsession.
After 11 years as a Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm officer, flying Sea Kings on Search and Rescue duties, he left to start his own paragliding school in Wales. Over 20 years on, he draws on that military and cross-country flying experience — alongside a team of instructors with similar backgrounds — to train pilots to the highest levels of the sport.

Andy Reid
Paragliding InstructorAndy brings over a decade of teaching experience to his role at Crickhowell Paragliding, with a focus on CP and CP+ training in the Italian Pre Alps. A former Army Air Corps Skydiving Team captain, he spent 10+ years as a military skydiving instructor, and also teaches advanced disciplines like speed flying and para kiting.
A former military photographer and videographer, Andy brings a unique visual eye to flight instruction, and as a certified First Aid Instructor, he keeps safety at the heart of everything he teaches.
